This study (a) monitored the interaction between farmed pigs and wild ungulates (mammals with hooves) on 45 pig farms in Spain, and (b) developed a risk mitigation protocol. The study found that most interaction points were at shared water sources, such as ponds, and the risk of interaction was 6.9%, which the authors deemed as low. The risk of interaction at other points in the farming facility was 8.9%.
